Simon Brünner studied industrial engineering in Ingolstadt (Bavaria) for several semesters. With this technical and economic knowledge and on the basis of varied inspirations gained while travelling through several continents, he began to study design in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. Already hatching out the idea for a long time, he built the first prototype of Scintilla in his second term. Since this time he realizes further drafts, true to the guideline: "design light, not lamps!"
